Beginners Bulky Messy Bun Hat Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

We’re onto day 8 of the 12 days of Christmas and it is going by so fast! Since we’re coming close to the end we’re going to be doing faster and easier projects for those of you who still have presents to make. (I know I’m in that boat more years that I care to admit). This pattern uses super easy stitches and can be made in an hour or less.

This crochet messy bun hat looks great with solid, variegated, or even self striping yarns. Any bulky you can meet gauge with will work perfectly making this a great stash digging project as well.

Before we go…

As always I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern. It’s a super easy one perfect for people to relax and crochet or for beginners to get a feel for a unique type of project that works up quickly. I love using bulky yarn especially when I’m running behind on projects because they work up SO quickly.

This project can make a great last minute present, stocking stuffer, or even a make for yourself to reward yourself for all the work you’ve almost certainly done for the holidays.

If you liked today’s project you can see some of my other messy bun hats like my columned alpine messy bun hat (which also uses bulky yarn and can be a great last minute project as well. There’s also my world’s easiest messy bun hat which does not use bulky yarn but it uses very easy stitches.

Once again I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern happy holidays and as always happy hooking!
