Class Headband

Materials

5mm knitting needles

1 ball weight 4 yarn (approximetly 20 grams)

Stitch markers (optional)

Abbreviations

CO- cast on

K- knit

P- Purl

RS- Right side

WS- wrong side

BO- bind off

Pattern

Gauge- 2 inches= 9 stitches

CO 15 stitches

Row 1 (RS)- K across

Row 2 (WS)- K first 3 stitches, P across until you have 3 stitches remaining, K last 3 stitches.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until headband measures 2 inches less than head circumference for a looser fit or 3-4 inches less than head circumference for a tighter fit.

End on a RS row.

BO loosely.

Fold beginning edge and finishing edge over each other with WS row facing you. Sew ends together and weave in end. Turn piece inside out.

To sew shut first with right sides facing together fold each end in half.

Next layer the pieces together.

And finally sew through all 4 layers all the way across.

Now you can turn your piece inside out and you have a headband!
