Alpine Forest Mittens Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

It’s day 9 of the 12 days of Christmas and I can’t believe Christmas is only 3 days away now. It’s coming up so quick and I’m not happy to admit that I still have multiple Christmas presents left to make. I’m terrible at this I do this with Birthdays too it’s awful. I told my fiancĂ©e yesterday that I’m going to wrap his present up unfinished just so I have it under the tree!

This pattern though is actually super exciting for me because these gloves are actually the first gloves I’ve ever made I decided I needed some for my fingers when I have to be out for a long time and might not need to use my fingers like fingerless gloves are good for. I’ll have another pair of gloves before the end of the 12 days of Christmas because Logan has been asking for some and I needed some more stocking stuffers for him. Luckily those are not one of my procrastinated projects.

These gloves, along with the rest of the patterns from this month will be available on my patreon for a small monthly fee.

This post will contain affiliate links. This just means if you make a project using some of my links I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only link to products I personally use and would purchase again.

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

6mm crochet hook.

1 100 gram ball of a weight 5 yarn. The yarn I used is a thinner weight 5 or a thicker weight 4 so you could likely get away with either. I used a lovely alpaca blend called Peruvian from iceyarns. It makes lovely mittens.

Darning needle

Scissors

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

Sc- Single crochet

DC- Souble crochet

FPDC- Front post double crochet

BPDC- Back post double crochet

Slst- Slip stitch

Notes

Gauge should be whatever makes 20 stitches fit comfortably around your hand.

You can make these mittens as long as you would like by adding more repeats onto the end before you di the ribbing.
