World’s Easiest Crochet Scrunchie Half Double Crochet

Hello Everyone!

Today I have another world’s easiest crochet scrunchie pattern, but this time it’s in half double crochet. If you want to see the other world’s easiest crochet scrunchie pattern using double crochet you can find it here.

I really enjoy making scrunchies they’re a fun and quick project to work up, and I really enjoy wearing them in my buns. It adds a nice bit of color to my hair that I can match to my outfit and I just love it. I plan on bringing a few more scrunchie patterns to you next month as well.

This pattern works up super quickly and uses hardly any yarn making it a wonderful scrap buster project. It also makes great last minute Christmas gifts, and a great filler for crochet craft fair booths.

Supplies

5.5mm crochet hook

Scrap ball of weight 4 yarn. I used super saver

Hair tie

Scissors

Darning needle

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

HDC- Half double crochet

Slst- Slip stitch

Crochet Scrunchie Pattern

Tie on to hair tie.

Row 1- Ch 1, work 40 HDC around the hair tie. Join to beginning with slst.

Row 2- Ch 1, turn, work 2 HDC in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.

Row 3- Ch 1, turn, HDC in first stitch *2 HDC in next stitch, 1 HDC in next stitch.* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst.

Tie off.
