Introduction
Hello everyone! I can’t believe I’m here again at day 7 of the ten days of giving Thanksgiving pattern blowout. Today I am bringing you the final piece of the ombre set which is a nice puff stitch crochet hat. The rest of this set includes a messy bun hat and a face warmer that matches both the crochet hats, which you can see below. If you haven’t been able to tell lately I have been really enjoying the puff stitch, so much so I even have my dog wearing it. (Which you can see here https://crochetwithkim.com/1vfc.) Living in Northern Minnesota, however, means that our winters are very cold, and the puff stitch is so thick, warm, and it looks amazing.

Crochet Hat Pattern
I made this hat big for me so it could be like a slouchy beanie if you don’t want this, stop increase rows at row 11.
Ch 2
Row 1- Work 6 hdc in second ch from hook. Slst into first stitch.
Row 2- Ch 1, work 2 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst. (12)
Row 3- Ch 1, work 1 hdc in first stitch, *2 hdc in next stitch. 1 hdc in next stitch.* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst. (18)
Row 4- Ch 1, work 1 hdc in first 2 stitches. *Work 2 hdc in next stitch, work 1 hdc in next 2 stitches* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst. (24)
Row 5- Ch 1, work 1 hdc in first 3 stitches *Work 2 hdc in next stitch, work 1 hdc in next 3 stitches* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst. (30)

Row 28- Ch 1, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Tie off
Row 29- Tie on color 2 (White) in the same stitch you tied off in. Work 1 sc in the same stitch you tied into. *Work a FPSC in next stitch, 1 sc in next stitch* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 30- Ch 1, work 1 sc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 31- Tie on color 2 (White) in the same stitch you tied off in. Work 1 sc in the same stitch you tied into. *Work a FPSC in next stitch, 1 sc in next stitch* Repeat * around. Join to beginning with slst.
Tie off.
Weave in ends.
Conclusion
I hope you all enjoyed today’s crochet hat pattern I really loved making it and it came out nice and warm. This could be a great option to make for gifts, especially if you include the whole set. It can also be a great option for stocking craft fair booths or donating to homeless shelters.
Speaking of homeless shelters I would like everyone to remember that this is the 10 days of giving pattern blowout. Shelters need crochet items especially this time of year, as well as schools, hospitals, and women’s shelters. If you don’t happen to have a shelter near you then I highly suggest looking at the I am not lost scarf project. Also, even if you can’t make anything this year a look through your old projects could really help someone.
