Introduction

Hello everyone, it’s Friday so once again I’m here with a new pattern for all of you! Today we have a crochet headband made with puff stitches! If you haven’t noticed on here or social media yet I’ve been on a bit of puff stitch kick lately. The snows starting to fall here in Northern Minnesota and this stitch is just so thick and I love the way it looks. This crochet headband was also made with an alpaca blend of yarn that makes it so much more luxurious.

This pattern is fast and easy to work up, you could easily make multiple in a day. With the holiday season coming up this could be a great last-minute gift, stocking stuffer, or an item for your craft fair booth!

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

1 50 g ball of alpaca glitz you can find here https://crochetwithkim.com/alpglitz. You can also use any weight 4 yarn of your choice.

5.5mm crochet hook

Scissors

Darning needle

Abbreviations

Foundation sc- Foundation single crochet

Sc- Single crochet

Hdc- Half double crochet

Slst- Slip stitch

Special Stitch

Puff stitch- Start this stitch and pull up all the loops you would get on your hook for a DC stitch. Yarn over, instead of pulling through insert hook into the same stitch and pull up another loop. Yarn over and pull up another loop once again you should end with 7 on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on your hook.

Conclusion

As always I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern and if you did shares would be awesome! If you do create something using this pattern I would absolutely love to see and you can share all your finished items here https://crochetwithkim.com/qltk.

All the puff stitches make this a super warm headband and would be a great project for those out there who live in colder areas. You could also use 2 strands of a weight 2 yarn if you want to add in some color combinations. If you would like to make this for a child or someone with a smaller or larger head just change the number of foundation sc you work.

Again I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern, and as always happy hooking.
