Mini Puffs Cat Ear Beanie Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

It’s day 3 of the 12 days of Christmas crochet pattern blowout and today we’re bringing you another fast one that matches the fingerless gloves we made on day one! This beanie is also worked flat, uses the half double crochet puff stitch (which I do have a short little demonstration video of on my TikTok for people who would like to see how its done) and it can easily be made in a day! It also only uses one ball of yarn perfect for last minute gifting and stash busting.

This post will contain affiliate links this just means if you make a purchase through some of my links I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

This pattern will be available as a PDF on my Patreon by the end of the month.

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

1 100 gram ball of weight 4 yarn I used favorite from iceyarns. I did use basically the entire ball.

5.5mm crochet hook

Scissors.

Darning needle.

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

HDC- Half double crochet

Sc- Single crochet

Slst- Slip stitch

Special stitch

HDC puff stitch. This stitch is worked the same as a HDC but you will yarn over and draw up a loop one more time so you pull through 5 loops instead of 3. If anyone would like to see a quick video on how it is done I have a small demonstration up on my TikTok at crochetwithkim.

Notes

7 HDC stitches = 2 inches

You can wear this with either side facing forward depending on how much texture you would like to see. The folded brim will always show the opposite side.

Before we go…

As always I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern. I’m trying to make sure I get a good mix of beginner friendly patterns in this blow out so everyone has some good options to make this holiday season. This is the first cat ear beanie I’ve done because my husband requested I make him one so I’ve been working on some different designs for him and getting used to it since he wants his in black. Expect to see one or 2 more of this style of beanie during this pattern blowout.

Remember this pattern will be available on my Patreon for my 6$ and up tiers along with every other pattern published this month (and last month)
