Half Puffs Baby Booties Crochet Pattern (Worked Flat)

Hello Everyone!

It’s Friday once again and I have a baby shower coming up. That means baby patterns! My friend has requested browns and greens for a natural baby theme so I went with a pair of simple crochet flat baby booties to match a little baby cardigan I have in the making.

These baby booties work up super quickly and since they’re done flat they’re easy peasy perfect for beginners or experienced crocheters looking for something nice and relaxing. These also make a wonderful last minute baby shower gift.

This pattern will be available as a PDF on my patreon by the end of the month.

This post will contain affiliate links. This just means if you make a purchase through some of my links I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only link to products I personally use and would purchase again.

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

3.5mm crochet hook

50 gram ball of a weight 2-3 yarn. I used denim from iceyarns.

Darning needle for sewing up at the end.

Scissors

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

HDC- Half double crochet

Slst- Slip stitch.

HDC puff stitch- This is the special stitch it is done by yarning over and drawing up a loop just like if you were going to work a half double crochet. Yarn over and draw up another loop in the same stitch so you have 5 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on your hook.

Notes

Gauge- 5 HDC= 1 inch

This pattern was made to fit 0-3 month size.

Your booties should have a sole of about 4cm when you are done and a length of about 8.5-9cm when done.

To sew shut fold your piece in half so the long sides line up with each other. (Make sure you have your right side on the inside of where you’re sewing the first and last row together. You will be turning this inside out)

Sew the front and back together as well so they look similar to the last photo.

Turn your bootie inside out.

Cuff

Tie on in the back where you sewed it shut, work 1 HDC in each stitch around once you reach the front work into the sides of your HDC rows. Join to beginning with slst.

Tie off, weave in ends.
