C2C Color Block Sweater Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

After my last sweater pattern (Which you can see here) I needed to do another one in the color block style. Doing it block by block was such a fun way to make these sweaters and I wanted to experiment with some corner to corner in my clothing so doing the color block method was perfect. Let me know in the comment if you would like to see some more corner to corner elements in my clothing as the year goes on.

For those of you who would like a PDF copy of this pattern you can sign up for my Patreon the top tier will give you access to a collection of PDF’s available to download.

This sweater uses the corner to corner technique and basic double crochet stitches along with some posted double crochets for the textured edging. If you know the c2c stitch then this sweater is extremely easy and works up quickly. It also doesn’t use very much yarn compared to other sweaters.

(the top for everything under extra large will be the longest side and the top for every size above extra large will be the shortest side.)

Once you have your designated number of stitches going up work c2c decreases until you close your square.

Sewing blocks together

Sew your front blocks together in a checkered pattern, sew your back blocks together in a checkered pattern.

Lay your front and back pieces together so green matches green and pink matches pink. Sew the entire bottom blocks together with the corresponding color, (use green to sew shut green and pink to sew shut pink.) Weave in your ends to secure your seam.

Switch to your next color for the top blocks matching sewing color yarn to the yarn color of the top blocks your sewing and sew up 5 clusters. You will do 5 clusters for each size.

Once you sew up your 5 clusters weave in your end to secure your seam.

Sleeves

You will repeat this on both sides with the yarn color of the blocks you attach to. If you attach to green use green if you attach to pink use pink.

I made these sleeves a little short for personal preference if you want them to be full length or go up to your hands add an extra 3 rows of DC to the 5.5mm section and the 5mm section for a total of 6 extra rows.
