Tulip Garden’s Hat Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

Today is already day 6 of the 12 days of Christmas crochet pattern blowout! I can’t believe we are already officially half way through! Today I’m bringing you a hat that was a lot of fun to make, I tried my hand for the first time at using the V puff stitch, and I love the design it ended up with.

I named this hat the tulips garden because the stitch reminds me of tulips, and how it lines up in rows like that makes me think of rows of tulips. If you’ve seen some of my previous posts I’m sure that you know by now I love textured stitches, and puff stitch is one of my favorites.

This hat works up super quick and its a simple 2 row repeat making it a great project to work while watching TV or listening to podcasts. Making it a great addition to the theme of my 12 days of Christmas, and the unique design would make it a wonderful crochet gift.

Let’s get hooking.

Crochet hat laying over a wooden banister. The crochet hat uses a puff stitch, and posted double crochets to make a very textured design. The crochet has is bright pink, light pink, and white, and it has a light pink fur pompom.

Supplies

1 ball of each color you want to use. It uses about 50 grams of the 2 top colors, and about 30 of the bottom color. I simply used a saver yarn, the dark pink was super saver, and the light pink and white was saver yarn from iceyarns. You can find that link here.

5.5mm crochet hook. I use Furls streamline swirls in the color Virgo.

Scissors. I like the clover yarn cutter.

Buttons, for attaching pompom.

Pompom.

Darning needles.
