Sedge Fingerless Gloves Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

Today we have the first part of another crochet hat and fingerless gloves set. This week I have the sedge stitch fingerless gloves which forms a lovely almost crooked shell stitch. I will leave a link on how to work this stitch below so don’t worry about that!

I will be bringing you the crochet hat tomorrow since most everyone is stuck inside I will be bringing two patterns a week. This helps keep me busy, and hopefully it will help all of you do the same.

Last week I released the puffs and valleys set which has a pair of fingerless gloves that uses the same yarn as this set. You can find these gloves here if you’re interested https://crochetwithkim.com/puffs-and-valleys-crochet-fingerless-gloves/.

Before We Go

I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern. I really enjoyed making it the sedge stitch was a lot of fun for me. It has a really unique design that I love watching work up especially with self striping yarns.

This pattern works up beautifully with self striping yarns, but the stitch is interesting enough to make a very unique item with solid colored yarns as well. Short burst variegated yarns also work beautifully with this stitch beacause of the way it forms.

I really hope you all are doing good with the social distancing, I know it can be hard for some and I hope these patterns help keep your hands and mind busy during this time.

Remember the matching hat pattern will be coming out tomorrow so stay tuned for that. You can follow my Facebook page here https://crochetwithkim.com/vb1e. I share WIP photos here, and you can be alerted when I release new patterns.

If you create one of the projects on my website join my Facebook group and post a picture! I would absolutely love to see what all of you create using my patterns.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern, and as always happy hooking!
