Pride Bucket Hat Free Crochet Pattern

Hello Everyone!

We’re about half way through PRIDE month and I always try to include some quick projects for those needing something last minute for PRIDE events. This hat uses a stitch that’s new to my website that I actually really enjoyed working on and you can expect to see more often. It creates small bead like bobbles and it’s just a modified half double crochet so perfect for beginners!

This pattern will be available as a PDF by the end of the month on my Patreon.

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

3.25mm crochet hook

6 50 gram balls of sport weight yarn in your chosen colors. I used the rainbow cotton 8/6 color pack 11 from Hobbii

Scissors

Darning needle (for weaving in ends)

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

DC- Double crochet

HDC- Half double crochet

EHDC- Extended half double crochet

Slst- Slip stitch

BLO- Back loop only

To work the extended half double crochet yarn over, insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop just like you would if you were working a normal double crochet.

Now yarn over, and draw through the first loop only. Yarn over again and draw through the first loop only. Now yarn over and draw through all 3 loops.
