Hello Everyone

We’re really starting to get into summer now and with the heat what better project than a nice open-backed crochet halter top. This halter top ends around the belly button and goes fantastically with high waisted bottoms, or shows the perfect amount of mid-drift.

This top uses a weight 4 cotton blend yarn and beginner friendly stitches for a top that works up quickly, easily, and is perfect for all experience levels. This crochet halter top can be a great starting point for those just starting to get into garment making, and is easily size adjustable.

This top will fit small to extra large, and can easily be size adjusted by making more or less foundation stitches. You can also easily add more or less rows to make it more of a bralette, or a full length halter top.

Join to top corner.

Work 1 sc into the side of the same stitch you joined to. Work 1 sc in the side of each row until you reach the bottom corner. Ch 3 at corner, and work 1 sc in each stitch across the bottom.

At the opposite corner, ch 3, and work 1 sc in the side of each row until you reach the other top corner. Ch 3, work 1 sc in each stitch across the top row. At the end corner, ch 3, slst into the first stitch of your border.

For the stomach tie- Tie on to the ch 3 space at the bottom. Ch 2, work 1 DC in the ch 3 space, work 1 DC in the next stitch up. Ch 2, turn, and work 1 DC in each of the stitches you just made. Repeat until you have enough rows to comfortably tie behind your back. For a medium size that was 65 rows.
