Hope Hat Breast Cancer Awareness Free Crochet Pattern

Photo of a women wearing a pink and white crochet hat that says hope along the brim.

Hello Everyone!

With it being October this month I have decided it would be the perfect time to bring you a pattern for breast cancer awareness. This hat was fun for me to make, especially because of the cause and how near and dear breast cancer awareness is to my heart.

This crochet hat is a great project to make for donations, or to sell to raise money for breast cancer awareness. If you choose to donate this project to cancer wards, or to include it in chemo baskets please be aware of the yarn you choose and make sure it’s a soft brand. Chemo makes skin sensitive and that’s something to really pay attention to when donating projects and what yarn you choose.

For this pattern you need to be able to work tapestry crochet, and follow a grid design to do so. This pattern is also worked with very tight stitches so to reach the gauge you may need to use a size or 2 lower of hook.

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

1 ball of white yarn and one ball of pink yarn. I used the saver brand from ice yarns which you can find here. However if you are donating this yarn I suggest using caron simply soft.
