Hello Everyone!

It’s Friday again and like I’ve been saying when springs on its way I get a little obsessed with ear warmers, so here we are with another one! This one works up super quickly since it uses a weight 5 bulky yarn and is worked in short rows.

This will be the first ear warmer up on my blog in this style (yes I already have a few more designed so I hope you enjoy it.)

Let’s get hooking!

Supplies

About 70 grams of a weight 5 bulky yarn. I use Peruvian Alpaca from iceyarns. This is a lightweight 5 yarn so make sure if you use a different yarn you check gauge.

7mm crochet hook.

Button. I used one from this set of bulk buttons.

Darning needle.

Needle for sewing on button.

Thread or thin yarn for sewing on button.

Scissors. I like the clover yarn cutter.

Abbreviations

Ch- Chain

HDC- Half double crochet

SC- Single crochet

DC- Double crochet

Special Stitch

Puff stitch- Yarn over and draw up a loop. Repeat until you have 7 loops on you hook. Yarn over and pull through all the loops on your hook.

Notes

Gauge- 6 HDC=2 inches.

The size of this can be adjusting by adding more or less repeat rows.
