Crochet Breezy Cotton Dog Sundress Pattern

Dog wearing crochet shirt with lace back. Dog is in grass and has her mouth open looking very happy.

Introduction

Hello everyone! With summer close to its end I decided I’d start my blog off with some last-minute crochet summer patterns you can whip up in an afternoon!

This is a little sundress I crocheted for my little girl Gizmo using a cotton blend of yarn and a nice open stitch. I got the idea for this design because her entire back is black fur which attracts a lot of extra heat in the summertime, this nice pastel sundress reflects the sun off of her helping keep her cool so she can stay out and play longer!

This post does contain affiliate links back to the yarn used for this project! This just means I make a small commission with no extra cost to you if you purchase yarn through it!

Supplies

For this pattern, I used a 6mm crochet hook

Weight 4 chain woven yarn. I used https://crochetwithkim.com/0b9m Which is a 50% cotton 50% acrylic blend.

You will also need scissors for snipping yarn, and a darning needle for seaming up the center.

Abbreviations
