Introduction

Hello everyone! This will be my second crochet pattern today, I’m hoping to get a few online here to start my blog out and give you al a few items to work on. This pattern I will be bringing you a crochet dog sweater for the cooler months. I also have a crochet dog sundress for those of you with black dogs in the hotter months that you can find here https://crochetwithkim.com/2rph.

This crochet dog sweater is aimed more towards the intermediate crocheter and uses several texture stitches. I absolutely love the way this sweater came out and really enjoy the way the textured stitches used look together. I make many clothing items for my little fur baby, especially in the winter months. If you also enjoy making clothing for your animal companions then check back here often!

For this crochet dog sweater, we will be crocheting it flat and seaming up the center at the end.

Let’s get started so you can dress your puppy in their new crochet dog sweater!

Seam

With a darning needle, start at the top of the collar and whip stitch down to your first row of increases.

Placing a few stitch markers every 5 rows or so makes seaming this a lot easier, as you can keep better track of each row.

Legs

Work on both sides.

Tie on in the inside corner of your leg hole, closest to the seam.

Row 1– Work 1 sc in each stitch around, working in the open loops of the ch stitches. Connect to first sc with slst at the end of row.

Row 2-5– Ch 1, work 1 sc in each stitch around. Join with slst to the first stitch of row.

Tie off.

After you work all of that, now all you have to do is weave in ends and your sweater is complete!

Conclusion

I hope you all enjoyed this crochet dog sweater pattern, and I hope your fur baby enjoys it as well!
