Hello Everyone!
It’s not Friday but I am back with a new pattern! Valentine’s day is this week and I’ve really been in a heart mood lately. Today we have the sweetheart crochet hat, this does have a matching scarf that will be available tomorrow. If you would like to keep up to date on my new patterns sign up for my newsletter!
This crochet hat is done with alpaca glitz which is sadly discontinued by ice yarns. Redheart “With love” can be a good substitute. If you have a favorite weight 4 roving yarn in solid colors that can work great for this as well.
This hat was made a little long, I wanted to be able to pull it back and get a light droopy beanie effect. I will be remaking it however as a normal beanie for those who prefer.
Let’s get hooking!
Supplies
5.5mm crochet hook
Like I said above I used alpaca glitz which is a discontinued yarn but Red Hearts “With love” will be a great substitute. Or any other weight 4 roving yarn.
Scissors.
Darning needle.
Abbreviations
Ch- Chain
DC- Double crochet
Sc- Single crochet
Slst- Slip Stitch
Special Stitch
Puff stitch- The puff stitch used for this pattern you will want 9 loops on your hook instead of 7. This really helped the pattern pop up out of the hat to really make that texture.
