Icicle Drop Stitch Cowl Free Crochet Pattern

Hello everyone!

It’s day 4 of the 10 days of giving crochet pattern blowout and today we’re bringing back a stitch pattern I used some last year that was a huge hit. The icicle drop stitch designs uses beginner friendly stitches in a way that makes it look anything but beginner friendly. In all reality though this cowl just uses a combination of single crochet and double crochet stitches. I also love using the sparkly white and red yarn from the super saver line for this design because contrast AND sparkles make my heart happy.

During the 10 days of giving pattern blowout I like to take some time each day to promote some different charities and places you can donate your crochet items to. Today we are going to talk about the USPS operation Santa. USPS offers a letter writing system where people can write letters to Santa with clothing sizes and ages listed along with wish lists of items people would like to receive for the holidays. A lot of people who write to operation Santa need things like clothing and warm winter items. Along with books, toys, and games meant for a younger audience. You can use this to adopt letters asking for warm items, you could sell your crochet items to raise some money to purchase gifts off peoples wish lists. Or even send books, and toys your own children have grown out of. The whole point of the 10 days of giving crochet pattern blowout is to spread some holiday cheer and I think this is one of the best ways we as a community can accomplish that. You can find Operation Santa here

This pattern will be available as a PDF on my Patreon by the end of month along with all 9 other patterns published for my $6 tier.
