Hello Everyone!
Today is the first Friday back after my 12 days of Christmas pattern blowout and I’m here to show off a new thing I learned recently and that’s how to make these super cute crochet twisted headbands. These twisted headbands are much easier to make than they look, and its a nice break working something flat for once, I feel like I only crochet in the round anymore.
This ear warmer uses a stitch that I personally really enjoy, it creates a nice subtle texture that works great with self striping yarns, it really let’s you see the colors in the yarn. It’s also textured enough however that it looks great with solid colored yarns as well to really show off the light texture.

Let’s get hooking!
Supplies
5.5mm crochet hook. I use the Furls streamline swirl in the color virgo.
1 ball of weight 4 yarn. You will need about 30 grams of it. I used the Favorites Magic from Iceyarns.
Scissors. I like the clover yarn cutter.
Darning needle for sewing shut and weaving in ends.
Abbreviations
Ch- Chain
Sc- single crochet
Special Stitch
Single crochet puff stitch- insert hook and draw up a loop like you would if working a single crochet. Yarn over, insert hook and draw up another loop, you should have 4 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on your hook.
Notes
Gauge- 7 single crochet stitches= 2 inches.
The ear warmer should end at about 4 inches high, you may make it shorter or longer by stopping at the height you want.
Both sides of this stitch has a lovely texture so whatever side you prefer can be your front side.
Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern
