We’re back here on another Friday to make pair of fingerless gloves! I’ve been a little obsessed with the alpine stitch lately, it just makes such beautiful items. So that’s what we have today is a pair of alpine stitch fingerless gloves.
I made these for a friend for Christmas actually. I used an alpaca yarn that has sadly been discontinued but you can really use any weight 4 yarn, with or without sparkles depending on what you prefer.
These gloves took me just a few hours to make so they should be a great project to work up in an afternoon. They’re a lot of fun to make and for those who do craft fairs. You can whip these up in a bunch of different colors for many unique items!

Supplies
I used just over 1 50g ball of a sparkly alpaca from ice yarns that is sadly discontinued, but the Red Heart With Love yarn could be subbed out. You will only need 1 ball of the With Love

Abbreviations
Ch- Chain
DC- Double crochet
Sc- Single crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet
Slst- Slip stitch
Special Stitch

Notes
Even rows are the right side of the project, odd rows are the wrong side.
The first row of 22 stitches should fit comfortably around the middle of your forearm. That will determine your gauge.
Fingerless Gloves Crochet Pattern
Row 1- Work 22 foundation sc. Join to first row.
Row 2- Ch 2, turn, work 1 DC in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 3- Ch 1, turn, work 1 sc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 4- Ch 2, turn, work 1 DC in the first stitch, alpine stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 5-14- Repeat rows 3-4
Row 15-18- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 19- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in first 10 stitches, Work 2 hdc in next stitch. Work 1 hdc in next 10 stitches, 2 hdc in the last stitch. Join to beginning with slst. (24)
Row 20- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 21- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in first 11 stitches, work 2 hdc in next stitch. Work 1 hdc in next 11 stitches, 2 hdc in the last stitch. Join to beginning with slst. (26)
Row 22- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 23- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 24- Ch 1, turn, work 4 hdc, ch 7, skip 6 stitches, hdc into the seventh stitch. Work 1 hdc in each remaining stitch. Join to beginning with slst.
Row 25- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Only work in the back loop of ch stitches.
Row 26-29- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch around. Join to beginning with slst.
Tie off
Row 24 for glove #2- Ch 1, turn, work 1 hdc in each stitch until you have 11 remaining. Ch 7, skip 6 stitches hdc into seventh. Work 1 hdc in each remaining stitch. Join to beginning with slst.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s pattern. Like I said above I’ve been obsessed with the alpine stitch lately so I loved watching these work up. The alpine stitch is just so pretty to me with its heavy texture I think it makes for great presents.
If you would like to make this larger or smaller you can adjust the base stitches just make sure it stays an even number. For the increase just cut that number in half and increase on that number (Example: If you have 30 stitches you will increase on the 15th stitch and the last stitch.)
